"Your relationship with yourself
is the most important
relationship you will ever have."
BREATHWORK
My journey began over a decade ago while living in Beverly Hills. My career as a makeup artist in the cosmetic industry was taking off. However, I was struggling in my personal life, newly sober, in an unstable relationship, and feeling completely lost. At the advice of my trusted life coach, Deanna Danski, I went to a class as a form of meditation that she believed could be supportive of my journey to find clarity.
I had no idea what I was getting into.
As the facilitator, Michael Brian Baker, created a safe space for us, he explained the power held in the breathing technique he would guide us through, and the ability it has to release the trauma and negativity our bodies were harboring.
I layed on the floor, and following his steady guidance, began to unlock a flood of emotions I had been clinging to for years. In two hours, I felt a lifetime of weight lift from my chest, and was overcome by a deep sense of awakening. It was a truly incredible experience, one I have held onto for 10 years.
Flash forward to San Francisco, where my career in the cosmetic industry continued to thrive. Whether I was leading a master class for women, speaking in front of hundreds of guests about product development, or getting actors ready for a red carpet appearance, I was driven and passionate. However, I always felt that my abilities were never fully realized, and was struggling again with the feeling that I had a bigger purpose in life.
In the beginning of 2017, I saw there was a class using the same breathing technique that had opened my eyes many years prior and I immediately purchased a ticket. During this class, I had another profound experience and left knowing that I needed to share this life-changing practice with others.
Throughout the year, I went to sessions whenever possible, each time leaving the space feeling lighter, awakened, and alive. The facilitator was the guide, but my breath was the teacher, and it had the power to heal.
With a renewed sense of purpose, I decided to take steps to educate myself about this sacred practice, researching trainings and teachers for months without finding the right fit. In a moment of clarity, I searched the name of my first teacher and there it was in front of me, The Breath Center – founder, Michael Brian Baker. The universe made it clear that I should attend, and now I am certified by the teacher who opened my eyes 10 years ago, who guided me to see the light to my path, my healing, my purpose – Breathwork.

BEAUTY
My deep appreciation for aesthetics, beauty and nature began as a young girl living in Maui. At the age of four, I would admire the island flowers and create leis for my family. I learned to draw inspiration from my surroundings and developed a passion for enhancing the beauty of others. Later, as a teen in California, I translated this inspiration to makeup artistry and began helping my friends before events such as prom.
At twenty, I moved to Los Angeles to get a degree in Merchandise Marketing, however, I soon found myself feeling drained and uninspired. Taking a leap of faith, I decided to learn the tools necessary to become a successful makeup artist. Now I look back on my decision after nearly two decades, and feel grateful for the many incredible opportunities that came to me as a result.
I had the privilege of being trained by, and working alongside, some of the most inspiring global makeup artists in the cosmetic industry. They reinforced what I had known as a young girl—that true beauty comes from within, but that it was my job as a makeup artist to make people feel like the best version of themselves. These mentorships at an early age helped me develop into a confident professional in the cosmetic industry, working as the makeup artist in photo shoots for companies like Athleta, Vita Coco, Black Halo, and Seventeen Magazine. Wanting to share my knowledge, I led master classes to teach women simple, everyday techniques to achieve a flawless face look.
As my twenties progressed, my friends started getting married, and between photo shoots and getting clients glammed for events, I started doing makeup for my friends' weddings as well. I quickly realized that working with a bride on her wedding day is a very special experience. Knowing that someone is putting their trust in you to help her feel her best on the most important day of her life is both a privilege and an honor. Feeling the energy in the room, surrounded by friends, family and loved ones is a very special experience for a bride. She will look back on that day, cherishing her photos and reliving those unforgettable memories for a lifetime.
Whether I am working with models, celebrities, athletes or brides, my goal is to inspire and help create magical moments in time.
These are the moments I live for. They are what feed my passion, and why I love what I do.
